Come and join us on the patio for a delightful combination of food, drinks, and music.
I'll present similarities and differences between EVM & SmartWeave and what they mean for builders. Next, I'll present frameworks of Arweave utilisation with Gnosis and other EVM-chains, i.e. an alternative approach where transaction ordering is separated from evaluation and state updates (lazy-evaluation).
Multi-party computation (MPC) and account abstraction (AA aka EIP-4337) have been called “friends with benefits”, as they are not mutually exclusive, but can indeed supplement each other with their different focus areas. The common goal of these Smart Accounts is to elevate the crypto experience to be similar to bank accounts. Throw the AA user intent pool(s) and order flow auctions (OFA) into the existing MEV supply chain, and you have an exciting threesome at hand between the interests of users/wallets, builders/bundlers and validators. We’ll explore these relationships in the making in the hope that transparency prevents any hurt feelings.
Why Glo Dollar should be the stablecoin of choice for everyone, even if you do not care about the 10% of the world population that lives in extreme poverty.
Join us for a comprehensive workshop on writing interoperable decentralized applications using the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and the Inter Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC). This deep dive session will explore the key architectural components that enable interoperability between dApps, including a detailed deep dive of the EVM and IBC. The workshop will conclude with a hands-on demo, giving participants the opportunity to develop their own interoperable dApps using Solidity. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers looking to advance their dApp development skills and gain practical experience in blockchain interoperability and composability.
Since inception, the GoodDollarproject has grown to service 488K users, averaging around 40K dailyincome recipients based in countries such as Bangladesh, Nigeria, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, and Brazil. In this talk, I walk through the history and concept of the GoodDollar project and outline the vision for scaling the project to the next level of growth.
In order to succeed, Ethereum will have to transition to smart accounts. With the advent of account abstraction, challenges around fragmentation, vendor lock-in and security become more apparent. Safe{Core} Protocol provides a framework to tackle this. This talk will focus on how wallets (and thus users!) will benefit from this standard, with the example of Safe{Wallet}.
Concepts and oracle types presentation during a hands-on session to get information from external websites / APIs and use it inside smart contracts, using Chainlink. Target group: All are welcome! Tools: Web wallet, like Metamask. Testnet tokens: Sepolia ETH and Avalanche Fuji
As a product designer working on the zkSync (Layer 2 blockchain that scales Ethereum) , I am always interested in how mass adoption can be made possible. In my speech, I will tell how Account Abstraction will allow to increase the user base by using the habits of Web2 users.
In this talk, I'll navigate the latest Regenerative Finance developments and trends - relating them to the origins of Blockchain and their impact on the world. We'll discover why solving society's most significant challenges is the best product-market fit Blockchain could find.
I'll talk about the history of finance & debt, point out flaws in the current system and suggest some directions in which Web3 should look in order to deliver on the promise of radical improvement of the global financial system.
Broadcast is an emerging collective of individuals and projects exploring the future of media in web3 with the shared goal of empowering creators, communities, and consumers to reimagine the boundaries of content creation, distribution, and monetization. The first Broadcast Summit was held in New York in May 2023, followed by Broadcast Paris @ Schelling Point EthCC and returns to Berlin for this special DappCon module. Broadcast Berlin will bring together developers and creators alike to conjure up the future of onchain media, and capture attendees' perspectives on the cutting edge of bringing media onchain. Sign up here (https://broadcastsummit.xyz/) to join this interactive and participatory session and, if you wish, have your perspective recorded in a short video interview afterwards.
Currently there are only two options to fund your project, beg for grant money or get captured by VCs. Debt financing allows founders to bootstrap and retain ownership of their business and provide maximum value to users instead of extracting for VCs to get a 100x. Revenue-based financing aligns incentives between lenders and borrowers to build the business together.
How your wallet can become your bank account with EURe and the Monerium IBAN.
Wallets adding trading fees are an extra hurdle to users, but how does a wallet monetize with zero fees? Order flow auctions should do right by the user and protect against the centralization of block builders. Who will win the wallet wars? What does a utopic and dystopic future look like for DeFi payment for order flow?
his talk will explore various strategies for protecting DeFi protocols against Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) exploits. It will delve into the current state of MEV and analyze real-world data and statistics to understand the risks faced by DeFi platforms. The session will equip users with the best tools and practices to safeguard their transactions from malicious MEV actors.
When one hears 'DEX', they might thing of two things: Either a place to trade assets or a place to pool them. Until recently, these two meanings were tied together, but this is rapidly changing, and the two are breaking apart, but why?In this talk, we explore how not only different DEXes have begun to evolve into trade-focussed or pool-focused, but also why this separation might be essential for DeFi's infrastructure to become more competitive and ready for adoption.
Join us for a hands-on workshop for building decentralized autonomous agents on the Olas (previously Autonolas) protocol and stack. Learn the basics of the protocol and stack: how to build and register an AI-powered decentralized agent using Python. This workshop is ideal for both intermediate and experienced Python developers with an interest in AI and crypto. Don't miss this chance to upskill and unlock new opportunities at Crypto x AI. Target Group: Developers with intermediate or advanced knowledge of Python and an interest in blockchain and AI. Beginners are welcome to join and skip challenging steps. Tools: Participants should have Python 3.8 or higher and a text editor installed prior to the workshop.
EIP-3668, or the Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol: Secure Offchain Data Retrieval (CCIP-Read), is a new standard that opens up a world of Offchain and Layer 2 data. Crafted by ENS founder Nick Johnson, it's a game-changer for contracts needing external data. In our upcoming chat, we'll unpack CCIP-Read, explore its role in ENS, and see how it can supercharge your apps.
The increased interest in cryptocurrency along with the open source nature and complexity of DeFi platforms is making it an increasing target for cybercriminals. In 2022, $3B+ were stolen from DeFi protocols due to the innate complexity of securing smart contracts, and it isn't getting easier as we uncover new attack vectors such as sharing variable reentrancy that traditional tools fail to detect. The security landscape in blockchain is still at its nascency and there have been many advancements that I will be sharing both from an attackers perspective as a blockchain security ethical hacker, breaking down attack types and techniques, but also from a defenders perspective, sharing the latest advancements in tooling and AI applied to smart contract security, and how it compares to current approaches to securing DeFi smart contracts.
We introduce prediction feeds for the first time publicly. Prediction feeds are data streams that predict future values. We share a first use case: 5-minute-ahead predictions of ETH, powered by AI, with a structure that incentivizes multiple contributors for more accurate predictions.
This talk will explore current limitations of off-chain computation services and showcase solutions how we can enable developers to build fully decentralized backend solutions for Dapps.
