pp providers are caught between a rock and a hard place: run your own blockchain nodes for your RPC queries to keep your dApp free of single points of failure and go broke or introduce single points of failure by adopting cost-efficient, centralized RPC solutions. Inevitably, dApp operators tend to favor the latter over not providing their dAPP at all and paying the price along the way. We introduce an efficient, light-weight decentralized protocol called fRPC that empowers developers to keep their dApps decentralized without having to change their dAPP code or add expensive overhead. Using the fRPC substrate and Aqua, a distributed composition and choreography engine, we illustrate how developers compose and orchestrate any set of RPC endpoints into decentralized RPC solutions in a manner of minutes.
Right now there is no easy way to tell how experienced a user is in crypto. The onchain data exists but its hard to understand and contextualize. There is an opportunity to make this data more consumable for users and leverage for applications like messaging, user acquisition and hiring. Lets dive into onchain credentials, their applications and highlight some of the lessons from building DegenScore for builders who want to explore this space.
Until now, interoperable applications using IBC could only be built by launching your own chain on Cosmos. The new Dynamic IBC (dIBC) creates new possibilities for smart contracts to create their own data packets and compose with other dApps and appchains to unlock a new battery of use cases in web3.
Livepeer works with hundreds of applications in web3 powering video streaming, with over 2,500,000 mins of video uploads every week.In this talk, we will look at strategies used by consumer applications to get consumer adoption. We will look across web3 social, creator economy, gaming, and Metaverse applications and share lessons from the last year.
This talk will discuss how we can leverage account abstraction to make a user experience on par with the best of web2 while re-enforcing self-custody.
I'll explore the dynamic intersection of technology and law in the decentralized world. Drawing from my vast experience with Collider Ventures and my pioneering research into legal decentralization, I'll offer insights into navigating the complex legal landscape that web 3 project developers face. We'll delve into issues like securities, AML/KYC, banking, and tax regulations, while questioning the structures we've accepted. My aim is to guide attendees in launching their projects not only in compliance with existing laws, but also in challenging and reshaping these laws to facilitate the sustainable growth of our industry.
DeFi faces a critical obstacle in securing middleware infrastructure, as staking mechanisms often prove insufficient, prompting projects to resort to centralized solutions. In this presentation, we will examine the limitations of current staking mechanisms, the challenges of traditional oracle networks, and the need for a new approach to guarantee security and decentralization in DeFi. We will introduce Hyper Oracle, a next-generation zkOracle network utilizing zero-knowledge proofs to provide instantly verifiable on-chain data. Learn how zkOracles can overcome staking mechanism constraints, enable innovative solutions such as autonomous networks, math-based consensus, and efficient computing power allocation, ultimately shaping the future of DeFi security.
Promoting your SDK can cost a lot. While hiring a devrel or supporting hackathons are well-known methods to gain developer adoption, there is one more piece of the puzzle that often receives insufficient attention: the page architecture and design. In my talk, I will explain the fundamental components of an effective SDK page and a few nice-have details to spice up your design.
Oracles are critical infrastructure relied on by near every dapp. Yet questions remain of the level of decentralization and transparency. How can we leverage the base Ethereum layer validator network to create Oracles which are as decentralized and transparent as Ethereum itself?
Let's face it, crypto is taking (much) longer that we hoped to be where we want it to be. Let's talk about the problems that we're all facing and push the industry forward through organized action.
CoW Protocol is a fully permissionless trading protocol that leverages batch auctions for price-finding. At the heart of the protocol is the solver competition: a mechanism in which solvers compete to provide the best prices to traders. In this workshop I will offer an overview of CoW Protocol's solver competition and walk through the steps for implementing and deploying a solver. Target Group: aspiring solvers, market makers, DEX developers Tools: Laptop with Python installed
DVT protocols are becoming a popular option to run validators securely and resiliently, especially in the context of Liquid Staking. However, with the benefits of DVT comes the challenge of determining who should be part of each distributed validator, how to manage malicious actors, and how to avoid damaging stakers. This talk explores how we address the creation of trustless distributed validators.
Learn how Universal Profiles are bringing the "human" aspect to blockchain accounts by letting users create an onchain identity with built in solutions that will revolutionize human interaction onchain by simplifying gas, rethinking tokens and NFTs, allowing for account recovery, and by giving security back to the user themselves.
In today's world, email and cloud-based messenger services are state-of-the-art and widely used. While email is still hardly encrypted, messenger services are often end-to-end encrypted, but are usually operated and controlled as central services. Connection and user information are often under the control of the companies and backdoors or similar cannot be completely ruled out. Also, spam is a massive problem for most communication protocols. The emergence of web3, with possibilities such as key-based identities, decentralized registries, end-to-end encryption, and decentralized networks, has brought new approaches to secure and real private communication. Spam protection using web3 technologies can be more effective than any existing method. This talk discusses web3 approaches for secure and real privacy-preserving messaging and effective spam protection methods based on the dm3 protocol.
I would like to talk about the Snaps platform, about what we call protocol snaps and how they fit into MetaMask's multi-chain future and how some of the standards we're working on at CASA are shaping the UX of the wallet.
This workshop will go from idea to production release of an application that enables complex DeFi interactions with all metadata utilizing the Enso API(https://docs.enso.finance/introduction/intro-to-enso)
AIs trained on publicly available data have a problem: their inferences source content that may or may not have consented to use. Controlling how AIs source their training data will influence how publishers receive proper attribution in the not-too-distant future. Additionally, the data that's used for training is hitting its limit. The response: access to private datasets will be the rate limiting factor for AIs to maintain their competitive advantage. These two issues are intertwined, and working towards their resolution will help advance AI adoption and growth.
IP is an intangible asset whose value is founded on rights being granted and enforced by governments. In a future of on-chain enforcement of rights, IP becomes a programmable substrate. Molecule has built IP-NFTs and IP Tokens to enable patient communities to fund and develop their own funded biotech research to find cures for underfunded diseases.
I will give a hands-on overview of a tool (DERP.hoprnet.org) that we deployed at HOPR to visualize just how much metadata your Ethereum wallet is leaking to RPC providers. After visualizing the metadata leak, I will show how anyone can use RPC-over-HOPR (RPCh) to fix that metadata leak. Finally, I will give an overview of the underlying technology, the HOPR mixnet and what else you can do with it.
Autonomous agents have long been a topic of interest, but recent advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) combined with the development of efficient, scalable blockchains have sparked a renaissance in this field, leading to unprecedented developer adoption. In this talk, we'll delve into Autonolas, a cutting-edge platform that enables the creation of decentralised autonomous agents. These agents are pioneering a shift towards a new paradigm in AI: co-owned AI systems, jointly operated and owned by multiple entities. We'll explore the significance of this evolution in AI and its potential social and economic impacts. We then discuss how this new model is being applied in areas like prediction markets, co-creation, and Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs). Attendees will leave with a deep understanding of decentralised autonomous agents and clear insights on how to apply these concepts in their own projects or ventures.
